FEF Ride. http://www.aabts.org/archive/ride032007special6.pdfHOME | Does anyone know of differences between the two? I am looking at getting one of the affinity cards and while there is a 10K signup bonus for the AOL/AAdvantage World MC, the small print seems to indicate that these miles do not count for lifetime miles in AAdvantage. The other offer is 7500 AAdvantage miles for sign-up bonus. It seems these are two different kinds of miles. Can someone confirm this?
Thanks.
Don't worry about it. All miles earned in AA count towards lifetime program miles. Food for thought: Eating organic vs. eating local:: Once again, organic food is typically given the advantage in this category due If faced with the option of buying a regular apple versus an organic one, http://www.ecollo.com/post/2008/09/Eating-organic-vs-eating-local.aspxHOME | SKYWATCHERS--Newsletter of the China Lake Astronomical Society :: Monday, November 2, 1998: Regular CLAS Meeting at the Maturango Museum in Ridgecrest, After 2.3 miles there will be a 30-inch orange cone on the left. http://www.ridgenet.net/~clevans/clas/clas9811.htmlHOME |
When you hit 1mm in the lifetime you get lifetime Gold. 2mm gets you lifetime Platinum.
Sounds like a misinterpretation or typo to me.
I understand your point re the difference between q miles and bonus miles. Perhaps I was not clear with my question: it seems AOL/AAdvantage miles earned from the AOL/AAdvantage affinity card do no count towards lifetime accrued miles (see the credit card application small print) whereas the miles generated from a "regular" Citibank credit card do. If this is true, perhaps some would rather take the smaller sign-on bonus of the "regular" card.

You do not have to be an AOL member to sign up for AOL/AAdvantage. You can go directly to www.aolaadvantage.com (http://www.aolaadvantage.com) and sign up there and get 500 AA miles.

He who dies with the most miles ... is dead.
I tried numerous times to subscribe to AOL/AA and the link on AA.com didn't work.
Is their still a bonus for signing up?
Do you have to subscribe to AOL to sign up to AOL/AA?
There are exactly two kinds of miles in the AAdvantage program. BOTH of them count towards lifetime miles in the program.
Where they differ is if they count towards elite qualification. Miles that do count towards elite qualification are refered to on this board a q-miles, for qualifying miles. Any miles that are not q-miles are bonus miles. 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT Comments - Carsurvey.org:: I bought the car in 2002 with 43000 miles now I have 149000 miles on it. I ran the check as you suggested, and I sit corrected.
Just as you said - they post in the milage column, but don't add up.
It was tooooooooooo good to be true.
By the way, the tooth fairy stopped by last night and left me a bright shiny new gold plated dollar. Now don't anybody say a word. I still need something to hang onto.

I've seen miles in my AA account that seem to be q-miles (that is that they're in the "Mileage" column as opposed to the "Bonus Miles" column. But they didn't get added to my "YTD Elite Qualifying Miles."
Could this be what you saw? If not, and the really were q-miles, then I need to stay at a Hilton more often. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
I track my Q-miles very carefully, matching them with flight postings to make sure nothing is missed, and stay at Hiltons several times a year. Hilton miles have (unfortunately) never gone into my Q-mile total. It's time with butt in seat, period.
Thumper, if you compare your Q-mile total with your flights and find the 500 from Hilton in there, please let us know!
