    Goes into affect February 1, 2007. This training discusses the new criteria, and even has a quiz at the end to see how well you do!

  • Note that as I alluded to a few months ago, there is now an EF5 designation for Damage Indicator FR12, Single- and Double-family residences. All appropriate caveats are required for "slabbed homes", such as construction quality, no sliders, no secondary damage (debris impacts from other DIs), etc. (this is actually no different than the original F-Scale). See Table 4 on page 8 of the revised manuscript.


  • I'll do my "training" tonight...look forward to seeing what the big changes have been. I am hoping this all will help when I come up on damage paths and have to pass along the correct damage estimates. Thanks for the link.
