Hello,
This is my first message in the forum. I have a strange issue with Powerpoint 2002... when I try to view a slide presentation (F5) a button appears in the task bar like a background task. When I click this button nothing happen so I though ... hey the software has a bug!, so I reinstalled the entire Office XP but guess what ... I still cannot see a Slide Presentation (by F5). I tried also with the detect and repair option in the PowerPoint menu help, but again no results

It sounds like PowerPoint thinks you have a second monitor and is playing it there. For some information and the resolution, see this page on the PPT FAQ:
