**Step 1 You Need a Product**
Before you even begin to consider how to writing and submitting articles you are going to need at least 2 products. These products must be directly related and support one and other.
The first product is going to be your freebie. It will be offered as a special gift to those who visit your website.

This product could be a short 10 to 15 page report that you have written or perhaps a product that you have resale rights to.
You will use the second of the two products as an up sell or one time offer that will be present to visitors after they have given you their name and email address in exchange for your freebie. This product must be directly related to your freebie. After all if you were giving away a special report on 10 Ways to Lose Weight at the Office how many people would purchase your up sell if it were something like Chocolate 20 Reasons to Eat More ?
Any other products that you may have will be used in an email marketing campaign. That is the reason why you are capturing names and e-mail addresses. More on that later in the course.
**Where Can I Get Some Products**
There are quite a few ways that you can get products for your business. You could write your own product, but that takes time. I suggest that if you want to create you own that you create something to be used as your freebie.
The first product you are going to need is the one that you intend to give away. If you do not want to write something yourself there are other alternatives. Conduct a search for PLR products in Google or another search engine and you will find quite a few results that will give you free PLR products in exchange for joining their list.

A PLR product is fine to use as a give away on your website but NEVER use PLR articles in your Article Marketing business. You will find that they are frowned upon by most of the reputable article directories and rightly so.
The quickest and easiest way for new article marketers to get their hands on high converting products is to visit some of the affiliate marketing sites. Visit Clickbank, Commission Junction, and Paydotcom. They all have some very hot products that will get you up and running.
