According to the information that meimeisz-ga has posted, it seems you
the company Gladcase simply outsourced your order to another
manufacturer. You have received the pro forma invoice from the
manufacturer. This is a common practice in China for skirting taxes.
China customs requires the manufacturer who holds a customs contract
to be listed on the pro forma invoice. This means that either
Gladcase made your product, and found another company with an existing
customs contract with which to use to export your items, or Gladcase
simply outsourced your order to the company listed on the pro forma
invoice. Nothing dangerous, however it does show that Gladcase is
*financially savvy* or *shady*, whichever aspect you would like to
believe. This means you were probably robbed on price as well.
What's done is done, just be careful in the future and be specific in
asking which company will be listed on the pro forma invoice. It
tells a lot about the operational function of who you're dealing with
and whether or not they are dealing ethically.
According to Alibaba (owner of Yahoo! China), which has a third party
"authenticate and verify" company information, Foshan Nanhai Sunbest
Metal Products Co., Ltd. is legit:
http://gladcase.en.alibaba.com/aboutus.html#companyprofile
This company does have a subsidiary that's involved in textiles
(Hengyuan Clothing Co.), but apart from that there doesn't appear to
be any direct relation with Guangzhou Textiles Holdings Limited.
Their website does list their subsidiaries
(http://www.sources-china.com/en/environment.asp) but neither
"Gladcase" nor "Sunbest" are mentioned at all on their site. M-real - Company Overview - Hoover's:: Company Description. Hoover's coverage by Danny Cummings. I would like to recommend another company for your option
http://www.honf-kit.com/company.htm
I have bought Alumnium case from this factory for my germany customer.
Quality is good.
any help i can offer just let me know
To who it may concern.
Yes, everything in the comments are true and there's more but too
complex to go in details including the potential of big lost of money
being deposit or final payment or even L.C's.
It is not recommended to order directly from another country to a
factory in China with out knowing the people you are doing business
with as low quality will play a big part in your lost.
Be sure to have an agent that has an office with inspectors directly
in China. The small purcentage (commision)you will pay is very very
well worth while compare to the high risk.
